About
Working within Deutsche Bank’s own team, I contributed to projects across its Asset and Wealth Management divisions. My main brief was to turn a monthly digital magazine for Wealth Management clients into a fully responsive website.

My role
This was a full product design brief. Some design patterns already existed, but much had to be defined from scratch before we could tackle the structure and layout of the site. I worked closely with the Wealth Management marketing team to create a flexible, robust set of templates they could keep using and adapting after launch.

Approach
The client’s firmest requirement was that the site be fully responsive. We designed mobile and desktop together so the reading experience stayed consistent on every screen, rather than shrinking a desktop magazine to fit a phone.

Design Concepts
Page concepts were sketched by hand so the marketing team could compare directions quickly. Once a direction was agreed, it moved into detailed design.

Sitemap
The magazine sat apart from the main Deutsche Bank site but needed easy routes back to it. The sitemap shows the navigation within the magazine and how it links out to other Deutsche Bank sites.

Component development
Every component was developed and stress tested on its own. German translations were a particular test: words can run far longer than in English, so each component was designed to cope with them.
