Meta for Work
Year: 2022-2023
Client: Meta, Inc.
Field: Social Media
Disciplines: UI Design
About
Meta for Work was Meta’s business division for mixed reality. It combined Meta Quest headsets, enterprise device management and productivity software so organisations could roll out VR for training, collaboration and design work.
My role
As Lead UI Designer, working in-house at Meta within the Workplace team, I was responsible for the UI design of the Meta for Work marketing site. I also worked with the central design team on a shared component library and design language across meta.com, so the site felt part of one consistent Meta experience. It was a fast-paced agile environment, with regular reviews alongside the core design team in San Francisco.
Approach
The challenge was communicating a complex proposition clearly. Many visitors were business buyers new to VR, so the pages had to make headsets feel like practical work tools rather than consumer gadgets, with clear use cases, plain explanations of security and device management, and an easy route to speak to sales.
